Configure an iOS App
Before publishing an iOS app, fill in the iOS app configuration in the editor. Momen uses these values to sign and package the app and upload it to App Store Connect. If the configuration is incomplete, the publish panel asks you to complete it first.
Opening the App Configuration
In the mobile app client, open Settings and select App.
Prerequisites
Before filling in the configuration, make sure that:
- You have joined the Apple Developer Program .
- The app’s Bundle ID is registered in Apple Developer.
- An app record using that Bundle ID exists in App Store Connect .
- An App Store Connect API key has been generated and its
.p8private key file downloaded.
Momen looks up the app in App Store Connect by Bundle ID. Publishing fails if the app record does not exist or its Bundle ID does not match.
Configuration Fields
| Field | Description | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| App display name | Name shown under the app icon on the home screen | Your choice |
| Bundle ID | Unique app identifier, e.g. com.example.myapp | Apple Developer → Identifiers |
| Team ID | 10-character identifier of your Apple developer team | Apple Developer → Membership details |
| Issuer ID | Issuer of the App Store Connect API key, in UUID format | App Store Connect → Integrations → App Store Connect API |
| ASC key | Key ID of the App Store Connect API key | App Store Connect → Integrations → App Store Connect API |
| App icon | App icon, must be exactly 1024×1024 | Your own asset |
| Auth key | .p8 private key file downloaded when generating the API key | Downloaded when generating the API key |
Save is enabled only after every field is filled in.
App display name
The name users see on their home screen. The name shown on the App Store is set separately in the App Information of App Store Connect, and the two can differ.
Bundle ID
Register the Bundle ID
Sign in to Apple Developer , go to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles → Identifiers, click + to register an App ID, choose Explicit, and enter the Bundle ID.
Create the app record
Sign in to App Store Connect , go to Apps, click + → New App, and select the Bundle ID registered in the previous step under Bundle ID.
Enter it in the app configuration
Enter the Bundle ID in Bundle ID exactly as registered. It is case-sensitive.
Do not change the Bundle ID after the app is published. A different Bundle ID is treated as a different app and requires a new app record.
Team ID
Sign in to Apple Developer , go to Account → Membership details, and copy the Team ID. It consists of 10 letters and digits.
The Team ID must belong to the developer team that registered the Bundle ID. Momen uses it to manage signing certificates and provisioning profiles automatically, so no certificate upload is needed.
Issuer ID, ASC key, and Auth key
All three come from the same App Store Connect API key and are obtained together.
Generate an API key
Sign in to App Store Connect , go to Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Team Keys, and click +. Enter a key name and set access to Admin.
Copy the Issuer ID
Copy the Issuer ID at the top of the Team Keys page into Issuer ID. It looks like 57246542-96fe-1a63-e053-0824d011072a; an invalid format cannot be saved.
Copy the Key ID
Find the new key in the list and copy its Key ID into ASC key.
Download and upload the private key
Click Download to get the AuthKey_<Key ID>.p8 file, then upload it in Auth key.
The .p8 file can be downloaded only once. If you lose it, revoke the key,
generate a new one, and update both ASC key and Auth key.
ASC key and Auth key must belong to the same key. The uploaded private key is stored encrypted and used only when packaging for publishing.
App icon
Upload a 1024×1024 PNG image; other sizes are rejected. Momen generates all required icon sizes from it.
Use a square image without transparency and without rounded corners. iOS applies the corner mask automatically.
After Configuration
Once saved, you can publish the iOS app from the publish panel. Pre-release builds are uploaded to TestFlight for testing. When releasing to the App Store, the version number must be higher than the latest version already on the App Store. For the publishing flow, see Publish an App.
Troubleshooting
Save is disabled
Check that every field is filled in, App icon and Auth key are uploaded, and the Issuer ID format is valid.
Publishing reports that the app cannot be found
Confirm that the app record exists in App Store Connect and that its Bundle ID exactly matches the one in the app configuration.
Publishing reports an invalid key
Confirm that ASC key, Issuer ID, and Auth key come from the same key and that the key has not been revoked.
